Communication....the imparting or exchanging of information by speaking, writing or using some other medium.

I remember my first day of secondary school, I was asking questions at the assembly ground {instead of keeping my mouth shut, and paying attention}. I was summoned to the front of the assembly ground and asked to spell communication. Damn, I was scared...but somehow I got it right. I still don't know how that's possible (I'm not sure I can get that spelling right now, without spell check on my phone) or maybe the person who asked the question didn't even know the answer.

The thing is, communication is a very vital part of our existence here on earth. Humans (and I'm sure animals too) need to open channels of communication with one another, to ensure there's an understanding between us. Most times, the root of all misunderstanding can be traced to a proper lack of communication between warring parties. How do you expect me to know you were late for a meeting, because you were in an accident? Don't assume people would "understand" the situation, when you haven't communicated properly.

I write all these today, because I have seen firsthand how a lack of communication has led to a breakdown of relationships... especially in the recent past.

Someone asked me this morning, why is Friday your favourite day of the week? When I worked in the corporate sector, it was a great feeling to know "there's no work tomorrow" so we looked forward to Friday with anticipation, as Saturday was the only day you could have a late morning. All that's changed now though, it's 10:50am and I'm still lying under the covers. Now I'm mostly excited about Fridays because it's a good day to make money. As an event/club host I'd be foolish to deny the fact that Friday is a favourite for the partygoers, and this translates to more money for the host...so there's the answer to that question "I love Friday cos' I stand to make green, and the good life cost green....if you know what I mean".

Music feeds my soul... I practically spend my first waking moments listening to some music, and I realise that the music you play determines your mood for the day. Don't go about your business today listening to some depressing music, and thinking about love lost.....or stuff that would generally put you down. Get your buggy on, and prepare for a fun night ahead. It's Friday!!!

Have a great day....& a fun weekend ahead. Cheers 🍷
