Public displays of affection are acts of physical intimacy in the view of others. What are acceptable displays of affection vary between cultures,as well as to the time and context. Displays of affection in a public place, such as the street, is more likely to be objected to,than similar practices in a private place with only people from a similar cultural background.

In some contexts, such as bars, nightclubs and strip clubs, more extreme forms of physical intimacy are sometimes acceptable. In these places, acts like grinding and French kissing are common, but acts of a sexual nature are still frowned upon.

In most of the Western world such as Europe, Australia, Canada and the USA,it is very common to see people holding hands, hugging and kissing in public. It is also common at the end of a western wedding ceremony for the couple to kiss.

In Latin America, the practice of teenagers gathering in public parks to kiss, caress and even perform oral sex has caught the attention of the U.S media, strikingly because of the lack of political context in this "sexual awakening".

In South Africa,it is against the law for anyone under the age of 16 to take part in public displays of affection. This has led to large protests across the country by teenagers, culminating in kiss-a-thons in public places across the country.

In India, these public displays of affection are a CRIMINAL offence under Section 294 of the Indian Penal Code,1860 with a punishment of imprisonment of up to three months,or a fine, or both. However,a number of landmark cases have dismissed obscenity proceedings against kissing couples. Attacks by vigilante groups are still a potent danger to couples engaging in such practices though.

Well....how about that? Please when would August 10th come? I miss Saturday soccer....now I'm so bored {couple that with the fact I'm not drinking these days, and I'm downright miserable}.

Have a great day....& I'd see you tomorrow. Do remember to attend Sunday service with this reminder:- "it is better to be at home thinking about God, than to be in church thinking about beer". Cheers🍷
