Texas Grill and Soccer

Written by Michael Obiomah

Previously from last night.....
It was quite an unusual day (yesterday), cause I spent the day "back home". Time out at my Mum's, and a couple hours with an old band of brothers at Texas Grill.... shoutout to all the brothers back home!!!

Needless to say,I got to town a lot tired and more than a little tipsy AND I still had to watch the Colonial masters lose to the newly independent. We had spent the entire afternoon arguing about the game, and the key battles (Perisic v Trippier/Walker was a key talking point) so I was eager to see if all the hours I spent reading ESPN analysis bore any fruit. Surprisingly, while both players scored goals and contributed massively... I had predicted a 2-1 victory for England,so I went to bed immediately a little disappointed. Hopefully our African national team would defeat Croatia, and I won't be owing Mr Green N10,000 (that's a story for another day).

I have been having a little trouble sleeping recently, the interlude created by the renovation of PROOF has gifted an extra eight hours I can't utilise these nights so it's always an epic battle with Jameson. This one he won hands down, and I was right in bed before midnight.

Congratulations to the Croats, and we await you in a few days. Salut'
