Science of Maturity

There's a general notion that men are the head of the family and therefore men are equipped with the skill set and maturity to lead and be the dominant specie of both genders. However that's not entirely correct.
So my good ol friend and I decided to publish a blog to write simple things that makes life worth living. At first I was excited by the opportunity to flex my writing and editorial skills I had swept under the carpet for years. I must say it has been a lot of fun seeing people react to articles so far.
To my gist of the day. Science proves that women attain maturity faster than Men do. Yes I said it, Women are wired to be more mature than men are. The science from different universities across the globe backs it up.
Now I'm not going to bore you with all the scientific details but the fact remains as is. Being "mature" is all in your head.
A 2013 study published in Cerebral Cortex offers a scientific explanation behind the common notion that men take longer to "act their age" than women do. According to the study, it's rooted in the fact that the female brain establishes connections and "prunes" itself faster than the male brain.
It seems that the process starts a few years after birth and continues to occur until around 40 years old. This brings me to the old saying "Wisdom begins at 40" It may have it's origin from this medical fact.
So are women more mature? What do y'all think?
