Best of Both Worlds

How is it possible that one of my closest friends is 20 years older than I am....& I can be seen as a mentor to a young and budding generation? If we walk in the same circles, you'd probably know Sir H. I never got to the gym early enough, he's always there with a firm handshake. He once told me how he learnt how to cut hair back when the Oba of Benin, lost his GRANDFATHER....& staying in character he owns "probably" the best Barbershop in GRA. A man of integrity, he is renowned for selling the cheapest authentic liquor...& a great companion to watch a soccer game (or talk about anything in general). I've learned more than a little from our interactions over the years...BlessUP Boss.
Talking about the soccer game. The English campaign ended in a whimper, but that's still a match for their 2nd best performance EVER.
They should show some appreciation and look to a brighter future. A month after the games begun,it has finally reached its climax. If you didn't get the memo,we are solidly behind Les Blues' for the final (and that's not just because they're African-Europeans,we also have bets to claim),you can keep your admiration of the Croatian president out of football sentiments ....thank you.
One of my daily habits,is blowing out smoke. So I go to Vice City, for some affordable Hennessey and shisha (I'm always seeking pocket friendly locations, right?) ...& there are some extra thrills that liven the place up. A pool table (here and now, I challenge ANYBODY to a game) and an opportunity to play "your" music via Bluetooth. It is at this point, I can finally see how I'm a bridge between generations. First hour,we are bumping some of 9ja finest and nodding heads as Davido & Victor AD keep us entertained....then someone else says "excuse me,can we play OUR music"? Suddenly the speakers are taken over by Tupac, Biggie, LL Cool J,Foxy Brown,Sisqo...& so much more.
Trust me,that's when the real party begins. Now everyone is rapping (I did see a few bored girls though),and trying to show how they can be a part of our generation too. Damn, I miss those days...the house parties, drinking punch, playing "skip/pass", devil's mail bag, concentration, truth or dare,being/kissing virgins...& the whole nine yards. All things considered,I'd rate the night 9/10. Early to bed, early to rise.
Good morning,it's off to Church Unusual now....I wish you all a blessed day ahead. See ya
